Lisa Sweeney currently serves as Director of People Analytics and Process Optimization at Nuvance Health, a not-for-profit health system with 2,600 physicians and 14,000 employees, servicing 1.5 million patients across 7 hospitals in northwestern Connecticut and the Hudson Valley.
Lisa graduated from Baruch College with a BA in Business Administration. Upon graduation she pursued her dream of working in the NYC restaurant industry and was hired as a project manager for an internationally-acclaimed chef, where she was responsible for concept development, public relations and marketing initiatives and implementation of technology and organization systems. She is most proud of assisting chef Laurent Tourondel on his Fresh from the Market cookbook.
Lisa became known as a master of creating order out of chaos and developed lifelong relationships with chefs who appreciated her drive and professionalism. While her love of the food industry kept her in NYC over 15 years, her heart has always been in the Hudson Valley. She returned in 2015 and joined Health Quest (now Nuvance Health) as an Internal Consultant in the Project Management Office. In that role, Lisa worked on strategic projects, including the transition to the new bed pavilion at Northern Dutchess Hospital, the opening of the Vassar Brothers Medical Center's Patient Pavilion Prototype and a special initiative to address employee engagement. This last project led to the creation of an entirely new role within Health Quest, focusing exclusively on employee engagement, culture and change management.
She continues to master order out of chaos at work and at home as a mom to Sammy and wife to Scott Sweeney. Together they enjoy engaging with their community by cooking with locally sourced ingredients, exploring new sights in the area, and advocating for the Hudson Valley.
